well, having talked it through with kel it turns out that its highly unlikely that she will be able to afford to live in cali.
so, anyone who thinks they can save 1000 a month for the next 7 or 8 months, and wants to move to california for 3 months.. and see the rest of the states.. party it up in LA, miami, NY, san fran, tijuana, chicago, san diego, hawaii...
hit me up.
im not big on living in california alone.. so if anyone is feeling adventurous.. come do it! its only 3 months and it will be the best time EVER!

so i played at my friend jarryd's partay lastnight, it was a lot more fun than i expected..
we got our set cut short cos it was getting too late, but meh.
we got free beer, i got a little bit drunk but not messy, and there was 16 yo bi chicks hitting on me :|
i was like.. 'when did u know u were gay? you're so young! are u sure...?'
hahaha, because obviously i have no idea what its like, not being attracted to the same sex in any way... and they proceeded to explain they are bi but like girls more..
and i was like.. oh u just havent had the right man! :P
hahaha, but hey whatever floats your boat!
and they kept saying 'have u had sex with a girl? you're missing out! do it, ill do it.. blah blah'
and it was very awkward and this girl kept hugging me...
but yeh... it was interesting...
and then the bi chicks were saying that mat is hot, so i spent my night trying to get mat to have a 3some with these 2 chicks.
and he was like nahhhhhhh..... im like DUDE! theyre YOUR AGE! AND THEYRE BI! AND THEY WANT TO DO YOU!
arghhh. oh well, i tried my best. it was a fun night none the less... mostly cos i got free beer :D
so now im feeling a little hungover, and just had a coffee and a stale cupcake for breakfast... i expected the cupcake to be a lot nicer than it was..
i think i underestimated the staleness...

sooo i went to pendulum twice.
was preeeeetty tired on monday.
2 days down and 2 to go.

soooo i went to beyond skate last night finally, but they didnt have any sneakers of interest to me :(
no one has what i want... im totally hung up on a pair that is pretty much impossible to get in my size :( sighhhhhhhhh
oh well, i did buy the daft punk live album, and a film project they did about robots, so that should be cool. havent watched it yet, only woke up half hour ago. :D
oh yeh, also saw lots of random people last night in the city such as abe.. jared reddington, and dawkins! what the!

woohoooooooooooooo i got on the door for the big show. so excited now.
except for the fact that there will be little 15 yo scenesters everywhere, but oh well. i just wana see the massiveness with my own eyes, rather than see them like any other band at metros.. been there done that.
i guess those 15 yo scenesters buy albums, and without them, pendulum would not be so successful.. so in a way i should thank them for making my friends rich!

in other news of reija's life...
dave and i are planning a 40s/50s date this weekend. it shall be super neat. we are dressing up nice and vintage and going to the drive in, and maybe retro bettys for some burgers and 5 dollar shakes :P and perhaps amps afterwards.
im super excited!
my activities on the long weekend sound ultimately un-exciting to the untrained eye.. BUT alas, it was quite satisfying indeed.
after having bought the twin peaks box set, i was totally smitten with my purchase and continued to watch the series non stop until band commitments came up.
practiced with the band a lot and played two low key party gigs for some friends, prob earnt around 200 bucks. not great but that wasnt the point.. they were more of a favour, and a pleasure to play anyway :)
got to do some new fun fun fun covers such as the final countdown and message in a bottle!
soo going back further than the weekend, recent events include: seeing cyndi lauper and the police. both 2 great experiences, even tho cyndi lauper was tainted due to old slags telling me to sit down, and me ending up in tears shouting at them cos all i wanted to do was dance. honestly.. who the fuck goes to a cyndi lauper concert and doesnt dance.. let alone yell at people for dancing!
to the 2 bitches who half ruined my night: next time get there 3 hours early like i did if u want to be at the front, otherwise, sit down, and shut the fuck up.
okay end rant there.
as for the police.. awesome. purely awesome.

"HA!"
I say to those of you who told me to get any old job.. telling me that no one likes their job.
"I farrrt on you!" (with roll of the tongue). haha.
I now work in a childcare centre as childcare assistant and love it. For the first time in my life I wake up in the morning and dont dread going to work. Im happy when walk into work. I've found the perfect job for me!
THIS is the reason i refused to settle for a job that wouldnt turn into a career path i wanted to take.
This is the reason i didnt just go and get some crappy old bar job and give up my social life for good hard cash.
Childcare has average pay, but im happy every morning and love every bit of my day at work. So its worth it.
So all in all, im totally smitten, driven, and excited at the moment.

SOMEONE HELP ME
god im going nuts trying to remember what this band and song is that i found years ago..
i remember the video clip and how the song goes but cant find ANYTHING on the net about it.
it was a 80s metal band and im pretty sure they werent very famous, haha. they were hilariously cheezy.
i remember the beginning of the song had the sound of a dripping tap. and the video clip had this really tank blonde female singer with guns and stuff, and three guys playing guitar and all doing slow synchronised head banging.
and theres this bit in the video clip where the singer drives this school bus into a wall of tv's. and it repeats in the video like a million times.. its so funny.
crappy 80s videoclips are great :P
also i remember that the first two words of the song are 'black fever'.. i think..
so someone PLEASE help me figure out what this band/song is!

guess who just got a job as a train driver/station operator at santa land at myer?
yayyyyyyyyyyy!!
i get to wear a train driver outfit and ill be on tv at the opening of santa land in a couple of weeks.
i get to work with kids and best of all... im working around christmas every day!!
(for those of you who dont know, im obsessed with christmas. so thats a good thing!)
santa land is gona be awesome. they have an actual train that kids go on rides on, and little kiddy computers where kids write emails to santa, and a robot reindeer that breathes and stuff.

Okayyyyyyyyyyy so...
i got back from melbourne/sydney a week ago.
this is my holiday update. ill try keep it as short as possible as long ones are a waste of time cos no one reads them!
except maybe paul and ash..
wait. thats probably the only people who read my journal anyway. haha. oh well. for paul and ash.. in repayment for entertaining me with endless updates of stoner adventures.
Soooo we drove over in DJs dads party bus. it took 5 days to get there, and 6 days to get back. The nullarbor is cool, but i suppose a week on the road with a 1 1/2 year old, waiting for toilets or having to squat, no showers and eating crap food all the time would get on your nerves no matter where you are.
I love camping but theres only so much you can do.
Anyway we did all the tourist stops.. at giant statues of whales and galahs (i still dont understand peoples obsessions with giant statues?!) lol. and of course the great australian bight.
it might just be a giant cliff but its still pretty cool.
at some points it goes down gradually just like a giant rock hill thats hard to walk down...
and at other points its just straight down. that one is fukn scary. especially when ur afraid of heights.. *points to self*
it is sooo high. we threw rocks off the cliff and u see the rock go out but can never see it land in the water cos its so high that the cliff blocks your view before it lands..
you'd understand what i mean if you've done it.
so anyway ummm what else happened... not much really, driving, breaking down just outside port augusta and DJs dad having to hitch a ride to get fuel, driving, camping..
more interesting stuff happened on the way back...
like when we pulled up to camp for the night and there was a foul smell... like fish crossed with something dead..
then stories began to fly like 'what if theres a dead body in the bushes that some murderer like the guy from wolf creek dumped here. what if he lives around here somewhere and comes to get us??'.... courtesy of my wandering imagination..
unfortunately it was only roo carcuses that had been hit and dumped in the bushes. they all had white sheets on and u could just see bones sticking out with meer amounts of flesh on it.. ewwwwwww.
i swear the smell was so bad! me and dave got the best tent spot away from the smell though :) boo yah!
so yeah, i spose it was good that it was just roos.. way less exciting though.
oh yeah another thing that happened... daves dads expensive 'high density inflatable foam' mattress was cursed for the whole trip.. it got covered in diesel like the first or second night on the way there.. so it stank like a bitch and we couldnt use it...
then the diesel made all the material pull of the foam and made it furhter un-usable..
then on the way back some smart cookie decided to put matts hi-hat stand on top of a spare car battery in the bus. and whilst driving the metal touched both ends of the battery and caught fire...
and what happens to be ontop of the stand and battery? oh yes, davids diesel covered mattress! haha
up in flames it went while we were driving... everyone is just chilling and then u hear "fire! stop, fire!"
smoke everywhere and flames under the seat...
hahahaha everyone got off the bus so quickly..
scooter saved the day by pouring his beer on the fire. woo!
so yeah daves mattress is now royally fucked.
its not that funny cos it costs like 100 bucks..
but it is at the same time when u tell the story... cos it gets covered in diesel which is bad enough.. and oh yeh then it caught on fire. hahaha.
that just reminded me of another funny thing that happened on the way back..
did i mention we had a dog with us? well yeh we did. yep, 11 people, a 1 1/2 yr old, and a dog. and a disobedient dog might i add! poor thing was stuck on the bus roped up for a week though, i felt sorry for it.. he got kicked around a lot for being in the way :( poor thing.
anyway.. he kept coming up to us and annoying us and we were like 'fuck off cena' and he wouldnt go away, and i saw him start to put his leg up on my sleeping bag and i pulled it out of the way and he put his leg down..
so just as i said to dj "i think the dog needs to go to the toilet, tell ur dad to stop"...
but like half a second after i said that.. pffffffhhhhhh
the dog shits all over the carpet in the bus.
like diarrhoea shit as well.
i swear to god i have never seen 11 people get off a bus so fucken quick in my life.
they got out twice as fast as when the ifre started. hahahaha.
now THAT fucking stank. 10 times worse than the dead roos.
jo cleaned it with diesel cleaner but we still had to live with the remnants of the smell wafting around every now and then for the rest of the damn trip! lol. so fukn dirty.
so yeh thats some of the crazy things that happened on the bus trips.. oh and add to that 'stacks on'.. a ritual giving entertainment time after time on the trip, when someone fell asleep just piling and bunch of random shit on top of them. haha. when DJs dads mate daniel fell asleep we piled like four massive swags and beer cartons and shit on him. you couldnt even see him on the floor. hahahaha.
sooo melbourne was great once we finally got there.
anni's new house that her rich boyfriend built is fukn amazing.. so rich.
plasma screen tv's, the greatest massage chair uve ever sat on in ur life, $12000 bathroom with double shower, pool, sauna... the works. it was my dream home. the architechture and design was all exactly how ive imagined my dream home would be. it was crazy weird..!
we didnt go out on the weekend in melbourne, most of our time was spent shopping or relaxing at home with gourmet cooked meals and foxtel :)
DJs dads 40th party was cool.. we played two 45 min sets (thats the whole reason we went by the way).
the gig went really well, it sounded awesome, it was in a hall and sounded like we were playing in a stadium or something haha.
i had heaps of fun on stage and our sets went really well.. we did heaps of covers as well as originals.. like white wedding, devil gate drive (did i mention i met suzi quatro in perth at her book signing? boo yah!), 99 red balloons, wipeout, want u to want me (reminds me of 10 things i hate about you every time, lol)... heaps of majorly cool party songs! so yeh that was cool.
so me and dave flew to sydney for 3 days to visit stevie before we drove back t perth from melbourne.
we were supposed to suprise him but fuckface daniel (stevies brother) had to ruin it for me. little bastard.
if i had seen him i think i wouldve slapped him. what a dick.
anyway, he only found out about it a couple hours before we came si\o i spose it was still a bit suprising.
we crashed at his house first night and watched south park movie (forgot how much i love that movie.. and suprised i still know the songs!) went to city next day and did a little bit of shopping and then they went home.
we were going to go out for dinner b4 we left but stevie crashed his car and had no money so it didnt happen!
so sydney was quite relaxing also.. we werent there 4 a weekend so didnt go out to any clubs this time.. and stevie cant drink anymore cos he fucked up his liver just like my dad did when he was 18.. so that sucked balls.
we mostly just shopped and stuff.
in regards to shopping i bought the most kick ass adidas sneakers youve ever fukn seen. also bought some misfit vans style shoes and white ones with a sailor on one shoe and ship on the other. i didnt notice how massive the boobs are on the sailor till a couple days later... i should have known what with a manga looking character... lol
anyways my adidas shoes are sick. bright yellow high tops with tiny coloured tiles with pattern on them. like sneakers ud see a crazy japanese girl wearing. the $200 was totally worth it.
and so yeh i think that wraps it up for the trip... theres prob heaps more stuff that ill talk abou another time.

whoaaa apparently i havent updated in 9 weeks.
haha.
busy life of mine.
sooo... update....
umm. ive been gigging like every week, some gigs good, some gigs not so good.
some gigs involving getting kicked out for my band mates underage drinking. hahaha. and they still invited us back to play again. boo yah.
still at TAFE. it still rocks the casbah. im putting on my own gig in November which is gonna be fantastic! its gonna be at the bakery and have funk bands and drum n bass. hopefully all goes down well and the crowds mingle.
only in 2 bands now, as one of them has pretty much kicked me out cos i told them that it was just a tafe band for me and i dont have the time to do anything more with them.. so i dont mind. they probably want someone who can commit more than i!
but im still in Mirrors and Le'Fan, my cool all girl electro band.
umm what else, oh yeah im going to Melbourne again in 2 weeks. Driving over in the band party bus.. playing at DJs dads 40th. it will be a sickooooooooooooo partay. out in the country and we are playin heaps of old school rockin covers like creedence (okay i know we do that all the time) and 99 Red Balloons and ACDC and SUZI QUATRO.
haha. devil gate drive is simply the most satisfying song to belt out.
i cant wait til next saturday when i go to MEET HER at her book signing. boo yah. totally wearing my leather jacket and getting a photo signed. and getting photos with her.
okay what else, ive pretty much had no social life lately because of saving for melbourne..
and its mostly gonna be the same for next 2 years cos we saving for Japan and America when i turn 21..
its gonna be great though. ill see cherry blossoms, and take dave to disneyland... rollercoaster here i come....
we fell in love 2 years ago, you're all ive thought about ever since, mickey mouse rollercoaster...we shall meet again soon my love!
oh and next weekend my fams and daves fams are going to the 'kings park festival' to this Japanese spring festival thats on... they have origami workshops and a japanese garden and tea tasting :D
im uploading a bunch of new photos to computer/myspace right now cos my camera is getting TOO FULL. and my photos on myspace are boring and old.
went to EPW few weeks ago. twas pretty rockin. shane haste won the cage match. and there was blood. finally. the table match last time was a bit lame what with the no alcohol and the whole low key-ness of it all. but i suppose it was only a gold coin donation so ill lay off.
so its mine and daves 1 year anniversary on Thursday. prob do something small in order to save for melbourne.
ive made amends with someone from the past again. well i suppose she made amends with me, after an awkward moment at EPW. hahaha. im gonna look back on all these awkward moments with people i have beef with when im an old lady and laugh. and wish i could have gotten our faces on camera....
speaking of people from the past.. not to self: dont try to reason with someone who is trying to make amends when drunk. freaking impossible. She was pissed so the things she said probably made sense to her when drunk, even though any normal person with good morals would find them outrageously wrong..
but mind you, i was mashed as ever and i still wasnt being a fucking retard.
its funny how some people pair up in order to make eachother feel better about themselves and the shitty things they continue to do..

so yeah i cant think of anything else to update with, although im sure there is a lot of things i have forgotten..

well mine daves and lorraes nintendo night was a complete success.
sarah and christina were supposed to come over but bailed without saying anything and just never showed up because theyre fags.
oh well. we had many a cocktail!! we bought frangelico so we were doing pancake shots (Y.U.M.)
and we played bubsy and the first ever mario bros, and all the other marios bros, and killer instinct, and unirally, and donkey kong II.... oh it was so good. so many memories flooding back.
the only downfall was we didnt have streefighter II, my all time favourite video game. EVER.
and we also watched salad fingers and burnt face man (YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!).... TAKE THAT CRIME, YOU SHIT!!!
hahahahahahaha. i love that shit. i got pretty tipsy by the end of it.. and lorraes new man mike came over and hes really cool and nice. YAY.
so all in all, a very enjoyable night with old school snes games, internet animations, and made up cocktails and shots.

john (our manager) got us a paid gig at someones 21st for $750 if we provide PA.
and considering my dad owns a PA business.. we still get quite a bit of profit!!
this is awesome.
although we need 3 sets and only have about one and a half.
but we're gonna work like crazy the next couple of weeks with late nights and heaps of red bull and extra weekend practices!
We pretty much have our EP down as well so we might start selling CDs if theres a big enough interest.
im so ready to quit my job and give everything to this band.

Anyways, I put this jumper on layby at atlas today, and i swear i saw it in the Australian Fashion Week somewhere, but i cant remember what the label was.
Im tryin to find a pic of it on the net but i cant find it anywherrrrrrrrre.
Its bright yellow with big bold black jagged shapes on it. Its so fuckin 80s i wana cry with happiness at the fact that it will soon be miiiiiiiiiiine.

ive waited 18 years to see it. ive grown up with it.

well im in sydney, yep.
stevie and daniel are jamming right next to me and it is very loud in my ears.
unfair. i want to play in MY band.
well ive been at nelsons bay/ stephens port/ salamander bay since wednesday.. we went fishing and stuff, it was fun. we also played lots of uno. lots and lots of it.
but.
i miss my dave.
oh so much.
he comes sunday morning.
i cant wait.

stevies mum bought me christmas presents.
